Exhausts that sound right
and pass rego.

Cat-back and turbo-back systems — fitted from brands we trust or fabricated on our own TIG bench. Every system gets noise-tested before it leaves, because a defect sticker ruins the whole point.

1–2 days dB-tested, QLD legal 12-month warranty
The job, properly

Flow, sound and the letter of the law

A good exhaust does two things: lets the engine breathe and sounds like the car should've sounded from the factory. A bad one drones at 110 on the motorway and gets you a yellow sticker.

We fit proven off-the-shelf systems for most popular cars, and for anything unusual Coop fabricates custom systems in-house — mandrel bends, TIG welds, proper hangers that don't snap in six months.

Queensland has real noise limits and they do get enforced. We test every system with a meter on the way out, and if what you want won't pass, we'll show you the valved options that give you quiet on the street and loud on command.

Step by step

From cardboard box to cold start

One to two days on the hoist. Here's how it runs.

Ask about yours
Step 01
Listen & plan

What do you want it to sound like? We play you examples and agree on the target before anything gets ordered.

Step 02
Strip the old system

Old exhaust off, hangers and flanges inspected. Rusty hardware gets replaced, not fought back on.

Step 03
Fit or fabricate

Bolt-on system goes up, or Coop builds the custom one on the bench — bends, welds, fit-check, repeat.

Step 04
Align & seal

Tips centred, clearances checked, joints sealed. A rattling exhaust is a job done twice — we do it once.

Step 05
Noise test

Meter out, measured to the QLD standard. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't leave — that's the deal.

Step 06
The cold start

You get to hear it fire up. Everyone films this bit — we're used to it.

Our fabricator is a boilermaker by trade who's been welding for eleven years. If your car needs something that doesn't come in a box — odd engine bay, custom routing, a system that clears the diff properly — he builds it.

His welds are the kind other fabricators photograph. He's modest about it, which is annoying because he's earned the right not to be.

Questions

Exhaust questions

Something else on your mind? Ring +61 2 4961 8527 — quickest answer is still the phone.

Not if it's within the noise limits — and we test it before it leaves. The standard test is 90dB at the prescribed RPM. We meter every system, and if yours won't pass we'll tell you before you pay for it.

A well-designed system shouldn't. Drone comes from bad resonator design, not volume — that's why we only fit systems we've heard ourselves. If you've already got a droner, a resonator fix usually sorts it for a few hundred bucks.

On most turbo cars, yes — the downpipe changes boost behaviour and the ECU needs to know. That's the classic Stage 2 combo, and booking both together saves you the second dyno session.

We keep it on every street car — it's the law, it keeps the car legal, and modern high-flow cats barely cost power anyway. Track-only setups are a different conversation.

Stainless for almost everyone — sounds right, lasts forever, half the price. Titanium saves serious weight and has that dry metallic note, but it's real money. We'll price both if you're on the fence.
