Terms of
service
The working agreement between you and the shop — how quotes, deposits, warranties and bookings actually work. Written in plain English because that's how we talk at the counter.
In one breath
Quote = invoice
Fixed written quote before work. Extras only happen when you approve them.
12-month warranty
On our workmanship. If our work causes the problem, the fix is on us.
Fair cancellations
48+ hours notice gets your deposit back in full. Inside that, we only cover real costs.
Quotes and pricing
Every job gets a fixed written quote before work starts. That number is the invoice number unless you ask us to do more, or we find something extra and you approve it. Prices on this website are 'from' figures for typical cars — the quote is always the real number.
Deposits and payment
Jobs over $2,000, and anything we order parts for, need a deposit — usually 30%. Same-day work is pay on pickup. We take bank transfer, card and cash. The car stays ours until the invoice is paid, which is a polite way of saying we release it when the money lands.
Warranty
Our workmanship carries a 12-month warranty. If a fault traces back to how we did the job, we fix it at no charge — parts and labour on us. Parts themselves carry their manufacturer warranties, which we handle for you if it comes to that.
What the warranty doesn't cover: normal wear (pads, tyres, clutches wearing out), abuse or neglect, and anyone else pulling our work apart before we've had a chance to look at it. Tuned cars used for racing are a conversation, not a loophole — talk to us.
Customer-supplied parts
You can supply your own parts and we'll fit them, priced as labour. The catch is they carry no warranty from us — if your eBay turbo lets go, the labour to take it off and put another one on is billable. If we think a part is wrong for the car, we'll say so before fitting it.
Cancellations
Life happens — ring us as soon as you know. Cancel more than 48 hours out and any deposit comes back in full. Inside 48 hours, or after parts have been ordered, we may keep enough of the deposit to cover parts and the booked time. The refunds page has the full detail.
Liability
We look after your car like it's ours — locked yard, keys in the safe, cars inside overnight on multi-day jobs. Our liability is limited to what the law requires; we're not responsible for factory defects, pre-existing damage we flagged in writing, or stuff left in the car. Take your sunglasses and toll tags home with you.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — if there's ever a conflict, the ACL wins.

Questions?
Legal pages are boring but this one's written by humans. Anything unclear — ask.

Talk to a person, not a policy
If anything on this page affects a booking or a past job, the fastest route is a phone call or the contact form — the same people who work on the cars answer it.
