Service 05 — Chassis

Suspension that makes
the power usable.

Coilovers, sway bars, bushes and a proper four-wheel alignment on the rack. More power is pointless if the car won't put it down — this is the job that makes everything else make sense.

1–2 days Corner speed + feel 12-month warranty
The job, properly

Fast isn't the loud pedal

Ask anyone who does track days what transformed their car and it's rarely the tune — it's the suspension. Coilovers drop the roll, good bushes put the feel back in the wheel, and a proper alignment makes the whole thing point where you aim it.

Ang runs this side of the shop. He races a Honda at Lakeside on weekends, so the setups he puts on customer cars are the ones he runs himself — road cars get compliance and grip, track cars get camber and an honest conversation about tyres.

Every job ends with a four-wheel alignment and a test drive. If your car sits funny after a week, bring it back and we'll re-check it — settling is normal, sagging isn't.

Step by step

Fitted, aligned, tested

One to two days. The alignment at the end is what makes it a job done properly.

Ask about yours
Step 01
Ride height chat

How you use the car decides the setup — scraping on driveways isn't a personality, it's a bad spec. We agree targets first.

Step 02
Strip & inspect

Old suspension out, mounts and links checked. Anything worn gets flagged and priced before we continue.

Step 03
Fit the kit

Coilovers or springs in, torqued properly, height set to the agreed target — not 'slammed until it looks right'.

Step 04
Alignment

Four-wheel alignment on the rack — road spec or track spec, printed before and after so you can see the numbers.

Step 05
Road test

Bumps, roundabouts, a brisk drive. If it rattles, rubs or pulls, it goes back on the hoist before you see it.

Step 06
Settle-in check

Come back after a week — new suspension settles a few mm. We re-check height and bolts free of charge.

Who does the work

Ang does the chassis
— and races it

Our suspension guy doesn't just fit the parts — he races a Honda at Lakeside most months, which means the track setups come from seat time, not a setup sheet he read online.

For road cars he'll talk you out of half the catalogue. Most drivers need decent dampers and a proper alignment more than they need a stiffened everything. He'll tell you the same thing he tells his own mates.

QLD has rules on ride height and headlight aim — roughly, keep it within 50mm of factory and you're in the clear zone. We'll set the height to what you want and what's legal, and we'll tell you where the line is before the job.

Springs if you want a mild drop on a budget and never touch the settings. Coilovers if you track the car, want adjustability, or care about matching dampers — the combo works better than springs on worn factory shocks.

Done right, no. A decent street kit rides firmer but better-controlled — most people say 'planted', not 'harsh'. Cheap coilovers with rock-hard springs are the ones that deserve the reputation.

Sometimes — camber tops, links or bushes if the car's old or going low. We check at strip-down and quote extras before fitting. No surprise invoices, ever.

Yeah — tell us where you're running (Lakeside, Queensland Raceway, Morgan Park) and we'll set camber and toe for it. Ang's run all three and knows what the circuits reward.
