What we collect about you when you use this site or book the car in, what we do with it, and how to get a copy or have it deleted. Short version: we collect what a workshop needs, and we don't sell any of it.
In one breath
We collect the basics
Name, contact details, your car — what a workshop needs to quote and book a job.
We sell nothing
Your details go to nobody except the people quoting your job. No marketers, ever.
You can ask for it
See it, fix it or delete it — email the shop and it's done within a few days.
What we collect
When you send the contact form, we get what you typed in: your name, phone number, email address, your car's details and whatever you wrote in the message box. When you ring the shop we jot down the same stuff in the job book.
The website itself uses a few cookies — mostly to count visits and remember that you clicked 'no worries' on the cookie banner so it doesn't nag you again. Details are on the cookie page.
Why we collect it
To quote and book jobs, to ring you back, to send the invoice, and to keep a record of what work was done on your car — which you'll want one day when you sell it. That's genuinely it. We don't run a mailing list and we don't send marketing email.
Where it's kept
Form submissions go to the shop email and the job management system, both password-protected. Paper job cards live in the office. We keep job records for as long as the tax office and warranty obligations require — usually seven years — then they're binned.
Who sees it
Us. That's the list. We don't sell, rent or share your details with marketers, parts suppliers or anyone else. The only exceptions are the boring legal ones — if a court or the tax office asks, or if we need a debt collector for an unpaid invoice (hasn't happened yet, touch wood).
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to fix it if it's wrong, or ask us to delete it — though we can't delete records we're legally required to keep (invoices and the like). Email speedtuningshop@gmail.com and we'll sort it within a few business days.
If you're visiting from the EU or UK, you get the extra GDPR rights too — access, correction, deletion, portability and the right to complain to your local data authority. The legal page has the details.
Complaints
Talk to us first — +61 2 4961 8527 or the email above — and we'll fix it. If you're still not happy, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). We're a small shop; privacy complaints are not something we want to be famous for.
Questions?
Legal pages are boring but this one's written by humans. Anything unclear — ask.

Talk to a person, not a policy
If anything on this page affects a booking or a past job, the fastest route is a phone call or the contact form — the same people who work on the cars answer it.
